Loving the classes. Thanks for making me feel welcome everyone xxx
We had a “Mighty Monkey” party for our now 6 year old last Saturday 11th. Our Son had the most amazing time with great instructors Miss Prior & Mr Hill who both went above & beyond making each childs time fun & our lives easier! Our Son was made to feel like a true “ninja” for the day! All his friends had the best time too with them now also wanting “ninja party’s” 🙂 some of them even took their medals & certificates to show in school assembly! If you are thinking of having a party for your child then go for it you won’t regret it!
There is not enough space to write a recommendation for Proaction Martial Arts & Fitness, what an amazing academy, with fantastic instructors . They push and drive you until you think you can give no more , then you just keep giving . Joining Proaction as a family has been the best way of getting fit and learning the art of Taekwondo ….. Just love it 😉
I can highly recommend Proaction Martial Arts as my son joined after being told it would help him gain confidence and would also help him control his temper.
My son was bullied for 4 years on and off at school, sometimes mentally and sometimes physically.
We had been into school speaking with teachers and the head,of which they said they would do all they can to stop it. The bullying carried on until one day he was hurt so bad he had to go to hospital. At this point the school govenors were involved as we’re the police and the kid cautioned with assualt( the kid was 10 years old)
I wouldn’t suggest any form of retaliation as it doesn’t solve anything. My son while being bullied would shut himself off from the whole family and when angry would lash out. It is true those who get bullied eventually become a bully. We saw it happen with our son. It wasnt because he was nasty it was the only way he felt in control.
He went through counselling but found he would still shut himself off. My son is now nearly 13 and joined Proaction 3 years a go. since joining he has become a completely different lad. His confidence had grown, his self control in difficult situations makes me proud as he doesn’t lose his temper now.
I don’t know what I would have done without them. His instructor had a way of getting him to talk about things when I couldn’t. It’s not just martial arts that they learn they learn a lot of essential life skills. they were a great support to me too as a parent. Now my daughter and I are also members of the pro action club.
Can’t believe how much I now LOVE exercise and how my fitness levels have improved over the last year!! Thank you to all the fab instructors :))) xx
Can I just say that ALL you guys at Proaction Martial Arts & Fitness do an awesome job, and everytime I am there (which as you all know is ALOT) I have fun and LAUGH. after many years of Hating exercise, I now look forward to every class. THANK YOU, and a note for those that are affraid of joining a gym or dont like exercise but need to change there way of life, find the time to come along to at least 1 class and see for yourselves how Fab it really is!!!!!!
Alot of people can go through life and not have to many challenges and obstacles put in there way. Myself as a young lad found lifes challenges to hard to deal with, such as mental and physical abuse from my step father and my family breaking up. I only expressed myself in bad ways and went down the route of drugs, cri…me and violence. Which to this day still have to live with little reminders of my past and only wish I could change it. I had my first child kyle who at the age of 5 asked if he could start martial arts after watching many films……… I took him to his first taekwondo lesson and spent many friday evenings watching my son develop his new found love in taekwondo and, developing his life skills such as stranger awareness and first aid along with many other aspects of life, which we as adults take for granted. After many months of having my son pestering me to join the club I eventually plucked up the courage to try for myself……. I’ll never forgot my first night I was so nervous but I was made welcome by the Chief Instructor Mr. Nicholson and all the other students, i was not judged by anyone as an overweight man but was welcomed and encouraged to do the best of my ability and accepted by everyone. I had lost alot of weight and was feeling really good about myself as I had started to find me again instead of being just another person. I left the club after about two years as my finances were tight and could not afford to train, due to my family gaining another member. Two and a half years later Mr. Nicholson along with many of the new instructor team, encouraged me to come back and start training, which I knew would be harder this time round as all the weight I had lost has come back and then a bit more. Never the less I am back training along with my eldest and also my two younger children aswell. We are all made to feel welcome and not judged, being encouraged to do our best and not compared to other people. My middle son Luke has a form of ADHD and can be very challenging most of the time. The Instructor Team despite lukes trying ways, have worked hard with luke helping him gain his new belt which was for me a very special moment as it was for Luke. I would highly recommend Proaction Martial Arts to anyone regardless of age, race and physical ability, as its an amazing club and am very proud to be part of it. Not only can you learn Taekwondo but, you can meet amazing new people. Only thing left to say is why not come along and see for yourself I am sure you wont regret it……..
ProAction are like an extended part of my family now. I’ve been working out with them for over 4 years now and long may it continue!
My son Joined Mighty Monkeys 2yrs ago and worked his way through to Mighty Monkeys Black belt, it has given him focus and drive to want to do well he loves it so much, at his school they asked him who he wanted to be like when he was older and he said My Dad, and Mr Nicolson, It has taught him great life skills, respect, commitment and Responsibility, and he is keen and aware how to stay fit. He now does Taekwondo, and looks forward to progressing further at each Grading!
My husband has now Joined the Adult Taekwondo class and also enjoys it, and looks forward to meeting new friends, whilst keeping fit and learning the Martial Art!
I have Joined PROACTION FITNESS Classes and enjoy all the Boxercise classes, and Zumba, I have enjoyed meeting new friends, and getting fit, without the pressure of what you look like. I told them I have a goal and they keep me focused towards that Goal.
PROACTION IS A GREAT, FRIENDLY AND PROFESIONAL PLACE WHERE ALL THE FAMILY CAN GET INVOLVED!!!
Where do I begin…… It’s difficult,- not because I am finding it difficult to construct something to say, it’s more about I have so much to say about Proaction and what’s it’s done for the family and our son for his future.
Without the time and personal effort from our Chief Instructor Mr Nicholson our son would not be the young man he is today – albeit only nine years old -Mr Nicholson and his team have taught him through classes, respect, patience and control- when in the past he would have had an outburst if things did not go his way, and not be able to control himself (often resulting in getting into big trouble-) now we don’t have the phone calls, the letters or the invites to attend school.
Having such discipline and control has not come easy, there have been times when we’ve not known what to do- but that all changed, when there was input from Mr Nicholson and his team . As a family we are much happier now we can put the past behind us. No more letters or invites to attend school to discuss behaviour, now it’s an invite to discuss his fantastic work, for that support we cannot thank Mr Nicholson enough.
As for classes they are absolutely brilliant such a variety, we are truly hooked.
All of the instructors are great, yes we have favourites, who doesn’t ? but that’s only because we know they push and challenge us to the limit, yeah it’s tough and painful at times, but we keep coming back for more!!
If Proaction came in a bottle -it would need a warning label ” addictive – may cause hyperactivity”
